With Brantner, Paprec Expands into Five New Central and Eastern European Countries
Paprec Group will become the strategic majority shareholder in Brantner green solutions, the environmental and waste management division of the Brantner Group. This almost century-old family-owned business is a leading player in waste management across Central and Eastern Europe, operating in Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania and Serbia. With 2,500 employees and revenues of more than EUR 320 million, this transaction is Paprec’s largest investment since Coved in 2016. After strengthening its position in Switzerland and then in Southern Europe through Spain and Italy, the Group is taking a new step in its European expansion by establishing a strong growth platform in Central and Eastern Europe. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory conditions, and completion is expected in the last quarter 2026.
