INDUSTRIALLY MANUFACTURED AGGREGATE

When residual waste is incinerated, various non-combustible materials are left behind: ash and slag, bricks, ceramics – and also metals such as iron, aluminum and copper. With Brantner Slagtory technology, even the smallest metals, the thickness of a human hair, can be removed from the slag. These are crushed, washed, sieved and the metals and salts removed. Up to 90% of the resulting ash and slag can be recycled and does not have to be disposed of in landfill sites. This saves large amounts of CO2.

The industrially produced aggregate is so clean after the process that it can be used for concrete production or road construction and is CE-certified in accordance with Ă–NORM EN 12620 and Ă–NORM EN 13242. The research and development of aggregates from ash and slag is an important contribution by Brantner to the circular economy.
